Default Anyone cancel the data plan successfully yet?

I'm planning to cancel the data plan on mines, and two of my sisters want their own phones. I want to make sure I can cancel their data plans too....

PS the question is to the point and I know I wont get some of the features but I'm about WiFi 90% of the day!

might be possible depending on how they have it set up on the website. When I first got my dash the internet plan was $30, so I logged into the website, changed my phone to a blackberry, and signed up for a $20 data plan, the plan didn't switch back when the website recognized I was using my dash again. So it may be possible to go to the website, change to a regular phone and remove the data plan. It's worth a shot if you don't want the plan.

none i just don't want to hear "why would u want to disable the data plan when that's what the phone is for" nonsense!

ah i hope i can cancel this data plan. on the contract, i don't see it written their, only the two year service extension.

wierd t-mobile seems to have changed things up! look at this msg using an old sidekick on my family plan lol
To take advantage of your Sidekick's powerful data capabilities, the Sidekick Unlimited service has been added to your new plan. This is a required service for your device with a voice plan.

To note, I am unable to uncheck the data service part of the gPhone. Yikes, so what happens if i were to sell my phone or not use it anymore?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they won't let you cancel the data plan as long as you continue to use the G1.

If you switched back to an older phone, perhaps. But I am pretty sure they were specific that the G1 required the purchase of a data plan for use.
