Anyone else had to be put on a list at the T-mobile store for one of the 3 G1 colors

I was going to T-mobile store that was down the block from me to see if they had any G1 test displays(but they didn't).I asked what was good for the G1 on the 22nd,he said "let me put on the list so when you come next week,you dont have to wait on line".The funny thing was that there was only 1 person on that list.On the list I had to write my name,phone number,and pick what color I wanted(I picked white).He said I had to be appoved for this phone with a 2-year contract or 2 year *Flexpay* contract( I thought with Flexpay you dont need a contact,someone explain this with me)

My nearest store said they had a waiting list -- folks who came in early and asked were put on it and they'd have a phone "put aside" for them on 10/22. I asked how long the list was and he said it was pretty long and that he didn't think I'd get a phone on 10/22 if my name wasn't already on the list.

Coulda been blowin' marketing smoke up my ... well, you know.

I was the second person on that list *Today*.Not many people here in the Bronx, Newyork know about the G1.there isn't many signs around that telling people about the G1 thats coming out.I had to hear from a friend from boston about it.

I was put on some list too at my local store. I was prolly in the 20's. They wouldn't tell me what the list was for (whether they were gonna put a G1 aside for me or not). I asked on two different occasions and all they would say is that they were gonna call the ppl on the list later to give them more info. It pissed me off. If I'm gonna be on a list, I wanna know what it's for.

I am number 25 or 26 at one of the local stores. Thing is i have class that ends at 9. The rep told me that as long as i am on the list and get there when they open i will be cool. I really hope so, and he wasnt just bull shi!+ing me. I want to get there by 915 the latest, and they open at 10.
