what's up with this? I talked to a t-mobile sales person and he told me that they will start charging you for the apps that you download. Is this true or is this guy just an idiot?
future apps will cost money, not all the apps you downloaded
will there be away to pay for these apps if you have an unlocked G1 for AT&T?
The ability to charge for apps starts on Jan 1st. I'd assume thats when you'll start seeing the really serious apps come out.
From what I recall reading, on Jan. 1st a method to allow payment for apps be available in the market. It does not mean that there will no longer be free apps. I think the payment is not billed through T-Mobile either.
As Noj said.. because they will charge for Market apps. doesnt mean u will have to pay to have All of the applications, there will be really good free ones, and ones which u pay a few Quid (or dollars) to get them, just as a means of assisting the amazing Devs into making more apps !
Im also guessing, due to it being a Google application, they would possibly use some sort of watered-down/Mobile version of Google checkout to pay for the applications. it would make sense afterall, keeping the google integration around all of Googles applications.
Here we go having to pay to get the good stuff (apps). LOL. Great with the cost of living on the rise and job loss on the rise. Whats next for this amazing phone? LOL joking. Who cares. What in life is really free?
open source is supposed to be free...period...end of story...
