    Default Browser Bookmarks

Is there any way to manage the bookmarks? I hate to use the analogy, but with my iPod Touch, it would sync Safari's bookmarks onto the device. I would think that there should be a way to upload a "bookmarks.html" to the phone for the browser.

This is yet another reason I want a file explorer for these devices. Importng a bookmark.html from your favorite computer would make life easier. You can't do that if you can't see or access the folder/s where your applications are stored.

I check in Browser application settings and you just can't do this yet.

Not sure if this has been answered, but how do you delete bookmarks?

no the onboard bookmarks pretty much suck for now.

to delete one, longpress it and select delete.

as a temp workaround- install foxmarks (foxmarks.com) onto your Firefox if you use FF.

You can sync your bookmarks across all your computers seamlessly- and it will keep them in the cloud, so you can go to mobile.foxmarks.com on your G! and BAM theyre they ALL are - same organization too.

Thanks! I love foxmarks! One of the best programs ever invented. Nice work around for now.

Mail, contacts and calendar events syncronize from Google to the phone. It would be great if Google Bookmarks also sync'd to the G1 browser in a similar fashion.

    Thanks,

So it took me a while to figure out how to delete a bookmark on Sprint HTC Hero, but
    1. Open the widget BROWSER - it is either an icon on one of the screens or can be accessed from ALL PROGRAMS
    2. Press MENU
    3. Press BOOKMARKS
    4. Press MENU
    5. Press DELETE
    6. Choose which bookmarks to delete and press DONE

Note - what I learned (I think) is that the bookmarks are within the Sprint (or your company) browser & not a search through Google - therefore their privacy rules and advertising and tracking applies.

I have a Hero and could not follow your remove bookmark instructions.
I can't find a widget browser to start the process. Clicking on thw bookmarks widget in All Programs just installs the widget.

The widget is an icon that looks like a globe and is named "BROWSER"
