Confirmed 100%: no white at launch (in NW at least)
Talked to the multiple local stores and then called the closest hub store.
The number of phones ranges from 20-90 per store. Downtown most seem to have about 30.
Anyway, they all confirmed no white.
Bummer. I'll just have to wait on the G1 until later. Disappointed but I can be patient.

Reports on various blog sites is that Q1 of 09 is when we can expect white. Again, these are unconfirmed reports. I believe I read this on some "boys" blogsite.
