That is one UGLY phone. Had my hero looked like that, it would have been a no-go on the purchase for sure.

I saw this at XDA and it made me want to cry. DO NOT WANT.
I fell in love with the Hero for it's unique shape and design, and this just looks like a cookie-cutter rip-off of other phones out today.
If this is the true Sprint Hero (HOPEFULLY NOT!), I will be getting an unlocked phone for sure. Hopefully Rogers Hero comes out around the same time so I can get 3G on AT&T. I'm tired of waiting =(

Horrible, the chin made the phone stand out now the gold makes it stand out in the wrong way. I'm sure if you use the trackball your finger will turn green from the cheap gold ring. I hate you sprint if this is true.

Trackball = chin. As long as there is a trackball, you will have a chin (I didn't realize people still cared about this....)
I myself prefer a D-Pad, but I'm a "D" kind of guy...

There's a better picture on page 4 that shows the bottom of the phone with the trackball lit up and the phone is flat, there is no chin.
What else can I do with this thing?

i think it looks wayyyyy better than that angular, gangly, out-of-proportion, lame-kinda-buttons original hero
!!
my big things though.. are the internal specs, and a hw kybd
but "looks" is def part of the equation - and in my opinion.. this passes!
