Battery life improved after cupcake update
Battery life worse after cupcakge update
Battery life the same / Can't really notice a difference
Sweet - Was about to quote "havng same problem" but tried to pull abttery and is good now. For others, my problem was that no matter what the charge level was, the status light would be wrong, green when dead, red when almost full, etc.. also charged for too long it would seem.. I could put it on at 90% and it would stay in orange status for 3 horus... Fixed now.. Thanks!
NOW! How about some of this horrible lag.. Seems like the G1 can;t handle the RSS widgets really eh? Weather widgets not bad.. twidget eats it alive whle updating... Advice?
do you do a battery pull when the phone is on? or do you turn it off then pull the batter?
i just got the OTA update, LOVE IT, although I have noticed that the battery charges a lot slower, not sure that it's lasting longer either, still have to charge it at least once during the day
edit: just tried the battery pull we'll see how it goes.
I didn't do the battery pull, but my battery life has improved greatly. It was so bad that even on light to no use I'd have to charge every night, but now I can leave it for about three days of light use(a little web/text/calls each day, normal use for me)without having to charge it. I'm very happy with it now.
I also have the issue where the percentage displayed is incorrect. I've pulled the batter serveral times and like said in post above me, it only fixes it for that boot. Once the battery is used up and put on charger again, the same issue happens. A simple reboot fixes it , but this is a bug that needs to be adressed in a patch
I haven't had any problems with incorrect meter readings, and battery life is about the same as pre-Cupcake. The improvements are nice and I'm really happy with 1.5.
But a charging times ar 2-3 times longer than before. Pulling the battery or doing a battery recalibration cycle made no difference. I have no idea what's causing the problem but I assume it's some goofy bug and won't be a big deal to correct. Not a real problem to me, but it is annoying at least and the Android developers really should do a fix.
