    Default Disappointed with purchase..

I bought the G1 this morning on a £30 a month contract with an extra £7 per month insurance. I feel so frustrated, I got the G1 and spent all day on customer support with T-Mobile because it wouldn't let me register or sign in on the initial boot! Aside from not being able to access my phone ive got a really annoying squeak in the bottom right of the touch screen.
Off into T-Mobile tomorrow to sort it out but I really trusted Google with this and its disappointing to say the least.

First off Welcome to the Android Community

But you're not the first or the last person to have these issues you speak of.

You might need to go through it, then press on to the next stage.

Sounds like someone didn't research the phone before buying it, or check it out in a store before. Welcome to the board let me kick that soap box out from under you

sounds like you just got yourself a defective unit. I've had mine for a few days now and I'm finaly getting used to it. Just read this review today from someone who's had it since day one. Sounds like the phone is good for now, but will get better over time http://htcsource.com/index.php/HTC/L...Mobile-G1.html

I like that idea since it seems every other phone I've had simply gets old and outdated as time goes on. Anyone else get multi-touch working on their phone?

not yet. Is rooting your G1 really worth the risk at this point? I know there are some cool themes you can add to your phone, but I'm thinking of waiting a bit longer before I void my warranty. I like having a bit of a security blanket
