    Default Do You Have To ReActivate If Upgrade


    Where I live I was unable to activate my phone so sent to a friend to do it for me. If I upgrade the phone will I have to go through the google activation again?

    you must activate the phone anytime a master reset is done, and new phones come shipped in that state

    tat doesnt really answer my question...or maybe you could explain a little more...i activated my phone..now if there is an update in the software will i have to reactivate

    no not for an over the air update you do not, it just installs reboots does its think and its back to normal, however if your phone starts acting up and doing weird things as some people have had happen usually the only way to fix it is a master reset

    you should beable to activate the phone though or do you not have a data service plan on the phone? it does not need to be on t-mobiles network to do the activation but wifi does not work as you cannot turn it on, you can however edit apn settings to add your carriers info to the phone and get the data working
