Any way to delete more than one message at a time?
i get 20 messages a day 15 are junk lol![]()
I'm looking for the answer to this question as well. It's a pain, but I usually end up logging into my email account using my computer and deleting the messages from there.
That hasn't helped with Verizon mail that I downloaded to my laptop then deleted. There are now more than a hundred dead emails on my G1 and I don't want to have to delete each one individually - not loving the email client.![]()
Interesting. Waiting for my G1. But on my Nokia N80, I can delete all email at once, but the email headings remain on the phone unless I specify that the email be deleted from my server. I prefer this option as I get to free up space on my phone yet, have an email record, later, still am able to download on my computer.
New Hero owner here.
Yep, I'm in the same boat.
Other "smart" phones I've had have allowed for me to check a box on each or swipe/drag across several and then choose an option of "move" or "delete". I'm really surprised that this hasn't been addressed for all the reasons mentioned.
That is maddening if you're talking about the Gmail app. If you're downloading other mail accounts that you've set up, go to you inbox, push menu, choose delete and check boxes appear against each mail. Can you access Gmail accounts via pop3, rather than the onboard app? Maybe that's a workaround...
Both included apps allow for bulk delete. In the default POP mail program, just follow the directions from Chihuahua (go to inbox, hit menu, hit delete, select the emails you wish to delete by toggling the red 'x's in the list and hit delete). In gmail, simpy check the emails you wish to delete (chckbox is to the left of the email) and hit delete.
Hope that helps!
Move to k9 email and at least you can quickly step through them, still no master delete but its quick. Neither the gmail or the standard pop mailer
