Extended Battery

Does any one know if there is a legitimate battery that I can buy that is higher the the 1150mah that comes with the G1?

Apparently Fommys.com either a) sends you a battery that doesn't work properly after a drain and charge or b) they don't send you one at all.

Does HTC make an extended battery of the G1?

I wouldnt trust any of those batteries unless they come from HTC or a known company. Those ebay batteries are probably made in china by some 10 year old boy. Those ebay batteries will probably not last long and you run the risk of it leaking or blowing up on you.

However, remember all those explosioning laptop batteries a few years ago?
Remember who they were made by?

Yeah, Sony . . . probably Sony of Mongolia, granted, but still. Big name is no guarantee, and conversely a no-name is not always gonna be a grenade.

I got a replacement battery from TMO and it sucks worse than the original,

I have gotten better life out of my original after several full charges and complete drains. Maybe the batteries are not getting a full charge before they drain them down at the factory
