I asked CS about G1 data service
that is what he said:
my current data service (VPN) is not compatible with G1, you need data service for it
then I asked:
can I use G1 data service with other phones and data card?
the CS answered:
currently a lot of customers asked similar question, yes, you can use G1 data service with your current phone (as modem) and data card, and you can also add VPN option with it, that you can use it with your data card, we have been on G1 training, and have the answer for you.....
the last question is answered
Sooooo, what exactly are the people going to use that do not live in a 3G area??
They say that the G1 will work with GPRS but not as well as in areas with 3G.. But I can not see them charging people for 3G service if they live in an area where it is not available yet... Just curious....

to define that
currently total internet charges $20 with voice, 2G or 3G
this would be a steal if you have 3G in your area, because now tethering is supported with G1 data service (if you use it with data card)
the CS said it's still unlimited, I think it still has 10GB limit, and you may be kicked off 3G till next billing cycle
