G1 Satisfaction Poll

Based on a cursory scan of the forum I see so many more complaint threads compared to praise threads so I just wanted to quantify things a little more.

So, how do you feel about your G1. (Please only answer if you actually have had one for more than a week).

I love my G1 but you can tell its in the BETA state. I don't mind being a tester.

I'm very satisfied. Sure there is room for improvement but it's good enough for now. Also keep in mind that people don't start a new thread to praise every little thing they like but are much more inclined to complain about the things they don't (with some superstitious belief that complaining here on a forum not run by Tmobile or Google will somehow make them fix the phone).

Do you really want the place clogged with the additional posts praising every little thing...such as: I love the back button on the chin of the G1, I like how the browser has bookmarks, I like the window feature of the browser, I like that I can check my email, I like that I can send SMS and MMS, I like that I can watch YouTube, I like being able to use a compass on my phone, I like maps, I like the bubble level, I like the fact that there is a Market to download apps, I like GPS, I like bluetooth, I like WiFi, I like the touchscreen, I like the home button, I like the trackball for selecting web links, I like the customization of home screen, I like the customization and choice of ring/notification tones, I like using the unlock pattern, I like stuff synced with Gmail, I like downloading Amazon MP3s, etc., etc.

I love it! Really I do... I just think it needs to grow. There is a lot of room for improvement and I think that between Google and Tmo, they are holding things back and need to get on the ball to please the masses. I do understand that you need to crawl before you walk, but they could at least put us in a walker if you know what i mean.

Phones not perfect, but its got me happy enough to be patient enough to go along for the ride. All I can do is hope the G1 evolves along with android.

If you don't like the G1 I'll dig up my old HTC Wizard and I'll trade you. You will beg me for your G1 back and forgiveness for ever saying anything bad about the G1.

only thing i want is more space damn it lol like programs to my sd card or something like that all n all it has good features and stuff but it could use just a little more

Im loving my G1 also but theres somethings that need some improvement. Hey the Iphone had some problems too so dont give up on the GGGGGeei-baby just yet

I like what it can do and would love to see it do even more in a "G2" incarnation. The style is decent but not as sexy as the T-Home Behold (now that's a better looking phone, but not up to par with the G1 capabilities). Out of 10.... I give it a 7.
