Unless I'm missing something, there is no way to setup Vibrate so that it pulsates, or long vibrates. When I receive a text or email, the one tiny vibrate alert that the phone puts out isn't enough. Why aren't there more options??
because every phone is different... there are even some phones that don't have vibrate at all.
i would assume android checks what hardware is available during preboot so it knows what it can and cant do later. not all phones have gps or wifi or a camera either.

exactly ,
Clearly you just post to post there buddy. Do you think that telling the forum that all phones are different is useful to anyone? We all know that.
What I'm asking is, why aren't there more Vibration options on *this* phone. The thing can send Twitter a message when I leave my house, but it can't Vibrate a few times?
I'm with you on this one. One of my biggest peeves about this phone.
And if it can vibrate once, it can vibrate several times. "All phones are different" is no excuse
