Help Required for HTC Magic!

Hi All,

I am Jitender Kathuria from New Delhi, India. I have recently bought HTC Magic. Here are phone details :

Model number - HTC MAGIC
Firmware version - 1.6

I recently got an update from Android for 1.6 Firmware version. Sorry if I am asking silly questions but I am new to Android. Here are my questions:

1. I am unable to use Text to Speech feature, I have downloaded Speech synthesis but it not showing up in applications. Can I download it manually? Where can I check it that it has been Installed? How to enable this feature? How to use this feature?

2. I do not have Handwriting Recognition feature in this phone. Can I get this through an update?

right above the speech synthesis option in settings , is an option for accessability . go in there and turn it on .

Thanks for your reply but the Accessability button is inactive, I can not change it.
