How come my Hotmail worked on my BB but not my g1
Hey folks,
Hotmail has this thing, that if you have had your account for long enough it worked with BB, newer ones do not. Everyone assumed that these accounts have pop3 by default.
Basically, hotmail works fine on my BB but it will not work on my g1. How differently are these being set?
My BB pushed the emails to me and I realize the G1 will not do that but i would still like to set up my hotmail since it has been my promary email for over 6 years.

You could just your Hotmail forwarded to your Gmail. That's what I'm doing since it's not able to bring in my Hotmail yet. Works just as fast AND keeps a copy in your Hotmail.

It used to be free to do that but now they charge you money for it. So if you were able to do it for free, you are lucky. Just make sure you never disable this feature otherwise you will end up paying for it.Originally Posted by Reeg

for some reason i can't get my yahoo account on my G1 for nothing...i'm going to keep trying but it keeps saying something like couldn't get account info...but oh well guess i'll just have to use the browser to check it..

Great then I have 2 copies of everything and have to go check this and delete the already deleted emails to keep from filling my storage up. Not to mention that this doubles the use of that one email account on every server it goes through.
This is NOT a real solution.
Google needs to realize that while gmail works probably just as good as hotmail, me and many others have been using it soo long and have so much there I would rather have to login than switch email providers.
Sorry to go off, but my bb worked fine with my 100% FREE hotmail account.
