RUU_HeroHTC Official ROM Dump..
Over on XDA a full dump of the newly released HTC Hero ROM was dropped. In the Thread Haykuro already has ported parts of it to his G1..But he said he will not work on it but is willing to assist.

also.. with a bit of optimization this is the one guys.. seriously a giant speed increase and i haven't done anything to it, if anything it should run slower as it's all off my SD, but it runs smooth as hell.. cheers to whomever got this out in the wild

this is gonna be hot!! we already have the support of 3 or 4 devs working on it..
cyan, Jac, haykuro, and diaz.. just for future reference haykuro isnt gonna release a version but he will be providing help for the other devs

yea im actually gonna be patient for this one. no more screaming and ranting and demanding a release (like others do, not like i did either lol)

Wasn't really ported, more or less pushed to his other build of Hero. That dude, Justanotherdev said he would work on it a bit. There is a problem according to Haykuro, being that with that new SPL you can't have root. He figured it out based on the older SPL, so lets hope someone jumps on this. Since it's an official build I wonder if JF will get into it.
This makes my unemployed self want to learn to port things.

Sorry, Austin Powers moment there, can't wait, may not need to buy a Hero if this works well. Haykuro's twitter post has me hopeful.
