HTC Hero /Sense UI official release dump for G1

you have to wipe your ext partition.

I beleive the commands from the recovery terminl are

mount /system/sd

rm -rf /system/sd/*

Ok yeah, so I watched what was going on in DDMS. Basically when you install this version of HERO it uses both app dirs (app_s from Haykuro's rom, and app). I'm not 100% on it using APP_S but I know it uses /system/sd/app. So, it kept trying to load the calculator / maps for some odd reason, and then crashing. I backed up my app folder:

cp -a /system/sd/app /sdcard/app

Then ripped it out:

rm -R /system/sd/app

So sweet, thing boots up now yay. I can boot now,

EDiT: I forgot to do something on my phone lozl...:

You can then just copy everything back over to your /system/sd dir:

cp -a /sdcard/app/ /system/sd/app

Then reboot, everything *should* work in theory.

EDiT: Negative... I'd advise trying to reflash userdata after deleting / re-adding folders. I think that... maybe all that new HTC stuff from HERO would need to be removed as well.

You're going to need to re-symlink your folders back, and reinstall your applications.

before i flash haykuros spl it says to have the correct radio which i assume is the cupcake radio atm i am running the dudes of life 1.3 beta hero rom so i am guessing i have the correct radio and i looked at my phone and it says it is pvt and i wanted to know do you flash if its says pvt or dvt

Well what version do you have? If you're running that HERO rom, you'll be fine.

i am running the dudes of life 1.3 beta 12 with the hard spl. i have pvt i just wanted to know which version was the that made it safe to flash haykuros spl
