I can't hang up!... so annoying

Yea this happens to everyonce in a while, i have to hit the red button like 3 or 4 times, before it hangs but never stayed on like yours

Have you called T Mobile tech support?

I've called them in the past for help with my Blackberry, and they've always solved the problem for me.

Just a suggestion...

I probably should call them.

I think the only reason why I haven't called them yet was because I figured that they would say that it was just a "bug" with the phone and they need an update to fix it.

It's still been happening since this post. I mean I love the phone.

Just this one issue is what bothers me.

It is very very annoying i must say...when I called tmobile they told me to reset my phone back to factory, b/c its prob the apps ive downloaded. Crazy thing is after all that I had to call them back for something and i was supposed to have hung up on the CSR, but it didnt. so that didnt even work. What IS THE ISSUE?

Mine was doing this too. Then the Volume buttons wouldn't do anything, then the screen became unresponsive. I would reboot and it would be fine for a few hours. I then tried a master reboot and it would be fine for a few hours then the same thing again. I finially called T-Mobile and they sent me a new phone.
The thing that sucks is they send you a "like new" phone and you have to pay the shipping. When I started my new phone up, it has one pixel in the bottom right corner that is blue. most of the time you don't really notice but on a black background it really stands out.

This happens to me too.

Yeah, me too. It's very annoying when you lose a call. The little
timer just keeps going up, but no amount of button pressing will
hang the phone up. I eventually popped the back off and removed
the battery. In the meantime my friend on the other end is wondering
why they can't call me back...

There is no excuse for a bug like this. If I press the red button,
hang up the phone! kthxbai!

Mostly, I love my G1, but a few issues, such as this one, make me
wonder if I would buy it again...

I've had this problem with a Samsung Galaxy and a Sony Xperia. The only common factor is Android. It is an Android gremlin! You will have to learn to live with this.
