Exclamation If your phone is stolen...

...the FIRST thing to do is to go online and change your Google password! The phone will lock and it will not be usable until the correct password is entered. The ONLY way to use the phone without the password is to do a 'Settings->SD card & phone storage->Factory data reset' and then log in to another Google account. That will both protect your data and provide information about which Google account is associated with the phone!

Thanks for the advice. I dont think i have to worry to much about this since you have to enter the security pattern in first before you unlock it.

also let it be known asurion insurance the company t-mobile uses has new g1's waiting for insurance claims... so if you have insurance, fastest way to get yours replaced is through the insurance, whether you pay the 130 dollar deductible or not (they handle warranty claims as well)...

and no, i'm not telling you to try and defraud them

What if they made an Android phone with the hardware feature to shoot out spikes to attack a thief that you activate online? I suppose the only problem is if this system got hacked.

BS! I lost mine last night & they tried everything under the Sun to not give me another one. They are like every other scamming insurance company...

seems like the there would be an easy way to track down the phone since it is connected to the internet and perhaps a serial number could be tracked to a lat/lon position.... almost like a homing device ---- (think batman the 60's tv show assuming you are old enough to have seen it)
