If you don't have root access, use the web to research your apps, Search Market by filename only, and directly install. Browsing the Market via its graphic menus is what bloats the cache.Originally Posted by nxtiak

I have 89 apps installed, 8MB left on my phone and my Market app is taking up 5MB. When I have even less space free on my phone the Market will clear it's cache.

Just a question: Is there a noticeable performance issue or is it a space issue? The reason I ask is I have 14 apps on my phone. My market is at 25 MB but she still purrs like a kitten.

Thing that seems to slow my phone down the most is when I end up with a bunch of windows open in the Browser.

Instead of going to Marketplace, go to http://www.cyrket.com/ in your browser to see App info. It is always up-to-date.

I Just followed the steps and went from 28 meg free to 58 meg free.

Right... there is a performance improvement to keeping the cache rather than clearing it... read my signature ;p
