Importing music error!!

im trying to import music and when I drag to the music folder, it gives me a device I/O error. Is there a way around this??

check and make sure that the music FORMAT type is compatible

MP3, M4A, AMR, WMA(8), MIDI, WAV OR OGG

not trying to threadjack here, but is that something we do with the phone or should I do it on the computer?

I know you can do it on the computer i havent messed with my phone yet to c if you can actually formatted from the phone like can with other phones

I went ahead and formatted it on the computer, but I expect I'll do it on the phone as well when I get it. Man I'm running out of things to do before I get this phone. And I can't really make myself do much else because of it.


Any more luck with the importing of the music, jbrax? are you dropping directly onto the sd card or through the phone, that could help?

I just fixed the problem on my G1. All I had to do was buy a USB 2.0 PCI card. Installation was a piece a cake. Installation took about 5 min. The 1.o card was out of date and WILL NOT work with the G1.

Yeah, it's a USB issue. Any 1 or 1.1 usb plug/adaptor will cause the error.
