From looking at the photo of the adapter that is now shipping with the G1, it appears to me that the jack is on the end of the cord where the button/Microphone is then you have the length of the cable with a clip in the middle then the usb plug at the end. If this is the case, it looks to me like this works perfectly with my Bose Mobile Headphones.
The headphones are actually sold as regular headphones and mobile headphones (sold almost everywhere from Target to Best Buy.) The only difference is in the supplied cable. The actual headphones have a very short 3.5mm plug dangling from the left side where you then plug in the supplied cable. The mobile packaging comes with the same type of cable I described above, minus the button, but with the microphone and clip down to a 3.5mm plug. If I am looking at the picture correct...that means the Bose headphones are PERFECT for the supplied adapter and puts the microphone exactly where it needs to be.
If I'm correct, you can actually save 20 bucks and get the standard headphones ($180) over the mobile ($200) since you can just use the HTC adapter with them instead.
Can anyone with the supplied adapter confirm this?
yeah thats how my shure headphones r, perfect for my g1
Can anyone confirm if the supplied adapter can be used as an aux output that i can plug into my head unit in my car?
I can now confirm this. It works perfectly fine.
