With all the hype around the T-Mobile G1 do you think you will have to wait in line in order to get a device? Is it worth it to wait? They have yet to air any TV ads. Over here in the west if doesn't seem many people are interested in the phone at all (other than in CA). Will you be waiting in line to get one?
I just passed by a T-Mobile Retail Store and seen a line of about 100 people, People in New York City must really like the G1.![]()

I didn't check the Philly store, but not too many people seem crazy about it. -- although the news did run a piece on it 2 days ago.
just got back from the store w/ my bronze g1, got there around 750am and there were about 6 people in front of me, will be playing with it all day now lol
ha dobson and baseline got there at 3 noone was there till 4 then people trickled in just got home im exausted off to bed while my g1 charges
I took a gamble and road the train all the way into work at my normal time and got downtown around 6:50... I was the only person there until 7AM. At 8AM when they opened, there were maybe a dozen of us? Granted there are a bunch of stores downtown so it's hard to know where people will show up.
I was actually glad so few showed up because I didn't want to feel bad about buying two phones and having them reject some poor soul.
Got my two bronze phones. Wanted a white and bronze but I'd rather have the phone now. It's all good imo
I got mine yesterday, but I walked by the Tmo store on my way in ot work this morning. They opened at 7:30 and I walked by at 7:55 and there must have been a dozen or so customers in there.
I really dont know why people would camp, unless they are in large cities, I went by tmobile stores today in new jersey and they had PLENTY in stock!
i went to tmobile store this morning when they opened. There was about 5 or 6 other people there getting G1's. Probably much busier than a normal Wednesday morning but still nothing too crazy. My area is pretty populated too, not New York City but definitely not the country.
When I got mine on wednesday. I think i was there at like 7:30 and there were only 3 people behind me but by the time it was baout 8 there were like 20 people behind me and they kept coming as we lined up in the store. People were buying 2 at a time. I only got one lol.
I live in Atlanta. They sold out by noon from what i heard everywhere because when i got to school at 11 some people said they tried to get one that morning and it sold out.
