Default "Light Leak" Space Between Volume Rocker and G1 Casing...

Today I noticed that the volume rocker on my g1 and the casing of the g1 that surrounds it isn't like snapped on to the volume rocker. Like theirs a space between the volume rocker and the casing..

It's only noticeable when my keyboards light is on and I'm in a relatively dark lit room and is easy to see in a room with no light at all. Because light shines around the volume rocker (light leak).

Now when it seems as if theirs 2 plastic snaps that's suppose to snap on to my volume rocker..hard to explain. Now I haven't dropped my g1 at all since I only got it a few days ago. I'm just worried that dust will get inside and like screw up my g1.

But yeah do you guys have any "light leak" around your volume rocker when your g1's keyboard is lit/on?

Please tell me A.S.A.P so I can decide on returning my g1 or not now before the black goes out of stock just like the bronze and white.

I don't see any light coming through mine. are you really going to trade it in a 7th time? theres no way you got that many defective ones in a row unless you have the worst luck ever are your standards maybe a bit to high for reality?

Yeah I don't know if ill return but I think I just got bad luck..I'm just scared dust and lint and junk like that will make its way inside my g1 and in the long run screw my g1 up or something.

I have a small amount of light leak. But I haven't dropped the phone or anything. I think its normal.

Are you the kind of person that doesn't donate anything (code, money, time, hardware, bandwidth) back to the community? A technology welfare recipient?

I really think you need to get a whole different phone after number 8 buddy. I am just laughing in my office about how many times you returned them. Either that or use your phone in the light and don't stare at the volume controls.

    Best response ever!!!

Dude, they make good medication for OCD these days . . . seriously.

But, no, from what I can see, I have no light leak. Did you study the thing in a darkroom? Sorry to laugh at your pain. We all have crosses to bear in life. Me, I can't make it through a day without posting 400 times on AC.
