    Default Micro SD card (A-DATA)

Hey guys I'm looking to get a new memory card for my G1, mainly because I would like the speed of a class 6 card. I saw this one on newegg:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820211341

by A-DATA and I haven't really heard of the brand but it seems to be getting good reviews and someone commented in their review that they were getting speeds of 14MB/s read and 9.5MB/s write. I believe class 6 is a minimum 6MB/s so if what the reviewer has said is believed to be true then I would definitely want to go with that one.

So has anyone used this card or brand before

The other card I'm looking at is this one:

    http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Clas...pr_product_top

but I don't know the read/write speed other than that it is a class 6.

    Any help would be appreciated!

I've had really good luck with my full size 8GB class 6 A-Data card for the past 2 years in my Noika-N800. It gets approx the same read/write as you listed and I've never had any errors or data lose. Funny thing though I was testing a few cards this weekend and a class 4 Duracell came out with better read speeds than either of the class 6 cards I had bought to compare. (all 16gb micro sd) The write speeds were not as fast but it consistantly read faster than the class 6 cards.

Newegg also has a Transcend with reader for $.24 more. I have one A-Data class 6 and one Transcend, both class 6. They both are working well. Newegg had the 8gb class 6 Transcend last week for $14.99 with free shipping. If you don't need one right away you might check later.

Haha well that seems a bit odd. I didn't even know Duracell made micro sd cards, or memory cards at all, to begin with. Well your experience with A-Data has bumped up my confidence in buying it so thanks for your help

I supposed I don't need it right away but for only $3.75 more I don't really want to wait longer and I have plenty of readers. Thanks for the input, I didn't know if A-Data was a reputable brand or not but now it seems like they are.

I've got a 4gb A-DATA that I use in my Nintendo DS and an 8gb that I use in my G1. Both work flawlessly and I haven't issues with either microSD.
