Music players play automaticly with headphone adapter?

I have on of those 2-in-1 power and headphone adapters and seems like a lot of time when it's pluged in, the music players will start to play music. And I do mean playerS because sometimes both Tunewiki and the built in player at the same time.

So I could be listening to a stream with antplayer and then the phone also starts playing two different mp3s off the sd card.

Why does this happend and how can I stop it?
