did you see any apps on the phone that let you write notes? or tasks?

that would make a perfect phone even perfecter as the G1 commercial would probably say

Not sure if asked, but in other reviews there was "stuttering" while starting up apps, Also a memory leak was mentioned so reboots were needed, did you experience any of this issues?

There was one slow-down when I went from Maps Street View Compass Mode back to the home screen...about a 5 second lag before the apps menu was responsive again. Other than that, I never had any slow-down or unresponsiveness.

The ringtone was noticeably louder than the iPhone (the only thing I had on me for comparison).

The phone screen was never turned off long enough to find out what happened with a new alert
However, there is the standard HTC LED at the earpiece that blinks with a pending alert.

Themes? Did you see any way to select/set themes?

I didn't see any setting for themes, sorry. It could be very forthcoming though, that's the beauty!

I heard about this too!! But I also heard that there was an update to the review that clarified the first post! And the person that did the review, Kaziko, actually had some great positive things to say about the G1. but for some reason the forum that it was on wouldn't post the update... Kinda weird...
