New and needs help

Okay I accidentally broke my G1 digitizer this past Monday and just ordered a new digitizer from eBay. I left my G1 off since then till last night. I turned it on, and now only bout 75% of screen is showing. No bleeding on the screen or anything. What can it possibly be?



Reading through the forum on this site and searching though Google, there's no one that have had this problem. Anyone knows, let me know thanks!

maybe whatever is carrying the current somehow got disconnected at that part of the screen ?

im with simms22. just whenever you get your digitizer and you take your G1 apart, check the ribbon that goes from the digitizer to the lcd and the flex cable that goes from the lcd to the motherboard.

you do know how to take it apart right?

Well I've never tried on a G1 before but I've done a lot to my other phones. Was never a touch screen though, but I'll be more careful with this. I found a video on youtube on how to replace digitizer. Im more of a DIY guy.
