Hey Kaziko, Simple request, please?
Can you send and receive files through the IM clients? Specifically the Live Messenger?
I know WinMo 6 can do this now, it would be a big plus if we were able to do this too.
Thanks in advanced.
Hey kaziko, thanks for all the hard work. However your review has been posted by many major sites all over the internet (Engadget etc.), and these site are concentrating on everything negative you said about the device. This is negative press for The G1, Tmobile and Google. Have you done further testing? Does the device still stutter when opening programs? Did you have alot of things running in the background at the time? Do you still have to reset the device because of it slowing down? If you have noticed improvement or figured out why you were having these issues, then I think you should do a "Review Part II" or something to that effect, and then send it to all these sites. Remember there are a lot of people out there that DO NOT want the G1 and Android to be a success (ie: iPhone Fanboys) and they will run with anything negaive that they can about this device to make it look bad.
ren857, can you post a link to the video? The embedded player isn't working in my mobile browser, but if its a YouTube link, it will play directly from the page.
Q: What Actual Files Does The Phone Play , I Heard Not Mpg Or Wmv, But then what?

jdlorinser, don't be alarmed by so-called bad press. As an open source system, issues can be solved as soon as they are made public. Its not bad press, just issue reporting. I do agree that kaziko's review wasn't as complete as it should've been. But again, I don't think he expected more than his community to read it, and thought an early incomplete view would be better for the members than making them wait for a more thorough review much later.
The biggest features consumers want to see is multitasking, the web browser's ability to present web pages that look and perform like a desktop, text editing, non-GMail POP3 email access, messaging, document management, and file management. These are the main functions of today's smartphones, and for comparison's sake, these should be the main focus of a full review. But this was apparently not a full review. We'll probably have to allow him to really become intimate with the G1 first.
I'm jealously waiting. :-)
Below is the Youtube video of Google explaining how multitasking is handled.

The more I get into coding for the android platform, the more I am impressed with the way background tasks are implemented and how truly revolutionary this OS is going to be for mobile tech. I strongly recommend if you have any java background - grab eclipse - grab the SDK and try a few basic programs. Once you have started and realise how simple if is to implement I am sure, like me, you will be alive with cool ideas for apps.
Two questions..
-This is kind of early to ask..but does anyone know ideas where can I buy accessories for my G1?
-Does the G1 (the back or the front) get EASILY scratch like the iPhone/iTouch?
Thanks for taking your time answering my question Kaz!
Where is the microSD card located on the phone and how easy is it to remove the microSD card? (A picture would be nice)
