I have a g1 that is locked. Cant get past the insert sim screen. I have an old att sim card that is inactive. If I get an unlock code will it work with an old sim card?

i have bought an unlocked g1 phone from hong kong and althought i set the language to english the syncronization and the web defaults are chinese how can i switch it completely to english

Every time I enter the market it says "Server Error has occurred" any help on fixing this?

go into into console and type this if your rooted..if not try going into apps and clearing market cache also make sure your not on a protected wifi server like a university system as it will cause problems

Im not rooted(as far as I know), I turned off all wifi connections and cleared all cache. The market says "-970076160.00B" under storage. Thanks for any help you can provide

Q. I have a G1 on T Mobile UK. On occasion the phone auto answers itself even when no buttons or screen is pressed. Clearly the is frustrating and a security concern given that people are listening in to your convo with you totally unaware. Has anyone exp this issue or aware of a fix??? Thanks

Ok guys I need some help... I have a G1 and have rooted it and have cyanogen 4.2.9.1
Everything seams to work perfect till I restart then alot of my apps dont work anymore! Get a "process .com.whatevertheappnameis" error with force close box. I have fixed permission, reformatted card, repartitioned and reinstalled the rom. everytime it looks and runs great till I restart! Help me before I throw it in the trash...lol

I just got an G1 "unlocked" and am a Cincinnati bell customer. Put in the sim card...etc,etc, got everything working great, but.....when I leave the Cincinnati area(the cincy bell network) I can't register on Cinbell network or even roam? What is going on here? settings wrong, phone not really unlocked, any help would be great.
