On Google I did a search, got back the results, ran my finger down the screen to scroll and it hit the bottom of the page in no time and was VERY smooth. On sites with alot of photos it did stutter a bit, nothing earth shattering though.

Already done. It works decent. Alot better than I would have expected from a mobile device. From the box cover it seems there will be a myspace app built. it shows a myspace logo on the actual G1 box

Im confused do you think that since it was a pre-release phone is the reason why .wma and .mpg don't work? Because I thought the official handbook said it did.

Q. Can I use my 19.95 unlimited family messaging plan with the $25 dollar G1 internet feature?
A. You can actually just use a $19.99 Data plan alongside the $19.95 messaging to eliminate wasting the $5.00, T-Mobile just doesn't want people to know they can do this.

I think you are confused, wma does work, wmv doesn't. mp4 works but mpg doesn't. There was no mention of wmv or mpg anywhere so this was expected.
This is typical of most phones, for example my phone can play mp4 and 3gp but not wmv, or mpg. So I'm not surprised the G1 doesn't support those formats.

I just recieved a firmware update : forced so I just test the BT again. Prior to the update, the Stereo BT worked. The test i just did the functionality is missing entirely. Not sure why my phone had it before. my only guess is that the firmware on my phone was before they decided to remove the Stereo BT capability until they could debug it more.

Do you think those memory leak problems might be because it is pre-release. After the firmware update was there any improvement? Or were the memory leak problems still there?

our only hope is that tcpmp or VLC get ported to android
