A wee error or bug keeps happening whenever a friend of mine with a phone number starting 0777 texts me it places the text into a new text thread with the third 7 missing. If I try to reply from that thread my phone (politely) informs me that there's a digit missing. Yet a long hold onto the received message displays the number with all 3 7s.
In order to send a reply I need to create a new message thread/string for that contact.
Is this a common problem with a fix? I've tried a search but i don't really no what I'm searching for any help/tips would be great as this is starting to get really really annoying.
Thanks for your time
This is a known bug in Android. In fact there are quite a few number issues, such as digits going missing, numbers being matched to the wrong contacts (it only checks the last few digits to see if they're the same), etc.
Hi,..
I just got this same message with the same call back number. When you call the number, it does not allow you to enter the 109 extension; Instead, it goes to 'ext 100' voice mail.
thanks,..
