but yea just noticed that "use as mass storage device" option is gone in the settings menu

LOL! I just figured this out. i am having SD card drama and was looking for that option (I got the dialog but thought the menu option would still be there). It's gone, gone with RC29. But for now I got no SD card recognition either.

Im not sure, but it looks like that is the picture that is shown while the update is actually installing. Looks like something being applied or added to the chip.
