Question about future problems and tmobile insurance..

I love my G1. Thursday is my last day to return my phone for the full refund, but I decided to keep it. But I still have a few concerns about its build quality.

If the phone dies in thr first year, or breaks as a result of defect and nothing I did. Does it get repaired for free? Or do I use insurance to fix it?

If I remember correctly, you have a 9 month warranty before you have to use the insurance, but you'll be subject to a refurb.

with my MDA...I had a year and with the replacement (refurb) I got an additional 90 days added to my original warranty end date.

subsequent replacements (within 90 days) were also refurbs, and got 90 days warranty from the first time I used the new phone

T-Mo gives you 1 yr hardware defect warranty.
