    Default Roaming in SC?

Anyone from South Carolina, roaming on their G1? I spoke with a T-Mobile rep and they said that this was normal b/c of the towers, which seems kinda odd, since I wasn't roaming before on my iPhone using T-Mobile. But, they assured me I wouldn't be charge extra since I am on a Nationwide plan. Just wondering anyone from this area has the same thing happening, thanks!!

Haven't even receieved my G1 yet, but...

I just wanted to say it's nice to know I'm not the only Carolinian (Charlotte, specifically) on the G1 bandwagon around here lol.

Are you a former Suncom Customer? I am personally; I should note, I was in Atlanta this past weekend (I'm on a regional plan, and everywhere between VA and GA is supposed to be part of my coverage area) and my current Blackberry Curve stated I was roaming on data, even though I was on T-Mobile's network; I called them about this while in town, and they said that although my phone showed me as roaming, I shouldn't be, and they said they would note it on my account.

Lol, yeah, I'm from Charleston. Decided to join the hip club, since At&t service sucks, especially at my house. Not anymore with T-Mobile! Word, lol!

High Point, NC, in here..(Right in between/near winston salem and Greensboro for those not in the know). I have been with tmobile for about 5 years with the various sidekicks..I never recieved roaming charges even though i used to roam on cingular At&T and now suncom towers. I bought my suncom and tmobile service while in atlanta using my uncle's address.. Nice to see other Carolinians on here..and since we JUST officially got T-mobile here we will probably be among the LAST to get 3G..Those in the Raleigh Durham area and Charlotte might be in luck though seeing as they are major cities...

I am in Raleigh, NC and my G1 also shows the roaming "R" next to the signal bars. I am assuming this because Suncom JUST switched over to T-Mobile.

Raleigh, NC here.... my phone does not show an "r" for roaming. I'll pay more attention when I am out and about, but I'm not sure I have seen it roaming unless I was driving to the beach.
