    Default small battery question

ok well all though the battery issue is controversal and each battery differs very much

i wanted to know if my battery should be fine

right when i got it i used it till it was almost dead which took awhile
then at 29% i charged it for about an hour and took it to school and played with it then when i got home i charged it till it was fully charged so it said..

then i read more about killing it all the way and letting it charge for about 6 hours even though it says complete so today i let it die all the way and now its been charging for like 5 hours

anybody think even though i didnt do the proper battery training if it will go bad from all that?

also my battery seems to last around a day including lots of texting and talking on it

I kind of did the same with mine, except I unintentionally drained my battery.. I barely charged it the first few days I had it bc I was on it so much. & it sounds to me like you have a pretty nice battery or trained it correctly bc i charge mine only when going to bed & my battery isnt all that great.. charge for 6-9 hrs at night, and use it daily through school and work. althought being on here and texting constantly probably doesnt help conserve my battery.

I also want to see if my battery is normal. I browse the web for like 5 mins and send a couple text and I'm already at like 92% . Is that normal?

I used my G1 the first day I had it until it shut off by itself. Since then, my battery has been excellent. Every now and then I plug it in in the middle of the day for 30 minutes or so, but today, for instance, I used the phone whenever I wanted (phone calls, texting, internet use with 3g on all day, and random apps) and my phone lasted from 6:30 am until 10:00 pm, at which point it was at 10% and I plugged it in.

I believe the people who say to let it drain completely and then charge it overnight...it worked for me at least.

I have let mine die about 3 times, and it continues to have about 6 to 8 hours on it, at most. Do you guys think it's the battery?
G1 is so good, they ought to make it a vitamin!

I say don't let them charge for 9 hours. It takes about an hour to get 100% charge. I charged mine when I went to bed for 7 to 8 hours daily for a month and it took about 50% life out of my battery. I had to charge my phone (Samsung Blast) once or twice a day even when I didn't use it! Plus it wasn't even a smart phone!!! Just an FYI
