Is it capable ? No. Does it support multi touch ? No.
The G1 isn't going to be the only phone that supports the Googles OS. See it's easier for apple to implement a multi touch screen because they only have 1 phone to support their OS. Not every android phone is going to have a touchscreen. As of this moment android does not support Multi touch, I don't believe it ever will either.

that video doesn't show anything. Most touch screens would do that.
From my understanding, the device itself supports multi touch. The problem is the gestures. Apple filed for a mess of patents for this.
Also that video is not an example of multi touch. I can do the same thing with my Wind and MDA.
