    Ah well.

So does it support multi touch or not? (this is a hard ware feature)

What I heard was that HTC put it in, but because Apple patented a lot of the gestures for multi touch, they could not do this because of the issues and figured it would be easier to let the developers put it in.

I also heard that the same company makes both the Iphone and the G1's screens...

settle down, tiger. just a skoch. nothing wrong with praising the iphone. it's a subjective opinion, so try to remember that.

Oh come on people! Of course the G1 can do multi touch. Do you really think Google would say "Eh...who needs that in the future". If they are serious about using android outside of the cell phone market as well then multi touch would be an extremely important thing. For examlpe..If you used android on a home automation system, such as a touch panel in your home, dont you think that multi touch would be crucial for many of the functions? I highly doubt google would say "no need for this fantastic tech".

The G1 is using projected-capacitive touch panel which is capable of multiple-finger gestures, not a surface-capacitive.

The funny thing is, it already HAS Multi-Touch.

The screen is the same width as the iPhone but 3/16's" shorter.
