Oh come on people! Of course the G1 can do multi touch. Do you really think Google would say "Eh...who needs that in the future". If they are serious about using android outside of the cell phone market as well then multi touch would be an extremely important thing. For examlpe..If you used android on a home automation system, such as a touch panel in your home, dont you think that multi touch would be crucial for many of the functions? I highly doubt google would say "no need for this fantastic tech".

The funny thing is, it already HAS Multi-Touch.
The screen is the same width as the iPhone but 3/16's" shorter.
