Just wondering if anyone here has rooted the sprint htc hero?? i want to root it but dont know if its the same as the european htc hero...

what does it mean to ROOT the phone? Or for that matter to flash it?
It either costly?

Rooting a phone give you acces to root directories thus allowing you to modify your rom, add apps, etc. When you flash your phone, you are usually flashing the ROM. And if you do these things yourself, with the help of our community and/or guides, it is free;]
