Default Streaming video sites that actually work as intended on Hero.

After messing about a bit on various streaming video websites, I find that none of them are really working! YouTube is fine and one more that I came by (an adult site that I will not mention here), but the video on the unmentionable one was choppy and ugly.

Has anyone actually found sites that work? Most of what I find just tells me I need an upgrade of Flash or that it doesnt work.

    Let us make a list!

It could have something to do with the network, for example if you are on edge, the streamng would be somewhat junky, as for flash, there is no support yet, so that kills a lot of streaming options.

Edit: Also Youtube's content is specially formatted for mobile devices (compression, format, size, etc)

The Hero has Flash Lite, which SHOULD show streaming video, and to some extend does. I am mostly on wifi, 10 megabit connection, so I should have no trouble. If I am on mobile net it is 3G (in Denmark it is even faster, they call it 3.5G) and gives me at the moment 2 megabit.

I had these same problems with my Nokia N-series phones, which also had Flash lite. Very few video sites worked right. They all require fancier flash than just the lite version.

I cant wait for October, supposedly we will get the real flash there.

I am dead bored at work most of the time, just watching a machine do its own thing... so I like to watch movies on my phone. Streaming them would just be perfect.

Well, if you are that desperate for good videos, you can use the Mother TED app which streams TED talks, those are always amazing, just make sure to clear the cache every now and then.

I will try that out, Cisco.

    Also, www.DailyMotion.com works, though choppy.

The Beebplayer works very well dragging stuff from the BBC- not all play but those that do are excellent in either hi quality if WiFi low if using 3G

I'm sure there's a rude joke in there but this is a family forum right?
