Swapping Sim Into another phone

Hello everyone hopefully someone can help me with this ??? IS it possible to take our sim from our G1 and use it in another gsm phone... I know tmobile changed our data plans and I tried my sim in a samsung tocco f480 and in a nokia E71.. I'm able to make calls text mssg but no internet and no e mail..it could be the settings have to be changed on both phones but i'm really bumbed now... I have a awsome f480 that works just like a phone.. and a awsome nokia e71 thats doing nothing but calls... I know nokias take special set ups so if anyone is knowledgeable about them Id appreciate it .. many thx

I think the G1 data plan is G1-specific. You gotta get the "total internet" plan for the other phones to work. I did read that the g1 will also work with the "total internet" though.

thx mikey i really hope this is the case .. i'll switch m plan just to have this convience... hate to wreck my g1 at work when i can put it inna another cheaper gsm phone ...
