Default unfortunate shipment question (tmo employees / gurus step right in)

Well i talked to CS today, cause I've been a little sketchy on which batch i will be receiving my g1 in (Oct 22nd vs Nov 10th)

anyway, i ordered my g1 oct 3rd at 5:36 pm pacific time according to CS, which technically puts me 6 minutes after the "cutoff" point for the Oct 22nd shipment.

One thing that CS cannot confirm is when my order will be shipped. The rep said he really doesn't know how strict the 5:30 cutoff ruling is (which i don't expect him too) and is pretty much telling me its 50/50 as he has no clue what t-mobile will do in this situation.

Has anyone been in this situation before?

Don't get me wrong this isn't a completely HUGE deal to me, I'm just like all of you, extremely anxious to get this phone in my hands. Plus, it gives us something else to talk about

I hate to bring in a cloud of negativity, but I'm not sure if T-Mobile has much say in how "strict" they are with the cut off time. With the way things are automated these days I would assume that the computer read when you put in your order, and that then the computer would be making the decision on when yours would be shipped. I'm sure that if you put in enough of a fuss you could get a CS to possibly get you one out on the 22nd (seeing as they haven't been shipped yet, and it sounds like they wont be until the 20th.) I could be way off base here, and completely wrong (which lets hope I am) but I THINK thats how it would play out.

What you need to find out is if your order is "pending shipping" or "back-ordered." A friend ordered two. One September 23rd, and the other November 8th. The first one is "pending shipping," and the second is "back-ordered" according to the representative he spoke with.

Don't think that matters, I ordered mine on Sept. 28th and 29th. They
were both pending and now they are back-ordered. It's just a system
thing. CS confirmed they are both going out in the 1st shipment.

as of right now my order is on backorder, but i have heard of people ordering on sept 23rd and theirs are still on back order to this date.

good point on the cut off being automated, didn't really think about that cause of the way that the rep said that its a gray area on whether or not i would receive it on the 22nd.

i wonder if i talk to another rep and complain about only being 6 minutes late if i could ensure my shipment on the 22nd. but i really don't think they have the power to do anything like that and i would have to talk to someone higher up. which kind of makes me feel like a baby in a way, but then again its my money and time.
