    got the phone requested the unlock code from them yesterday...
    let see how long it would take them to send it out =)

    i should request one but i have no desire to unlock unless i buy one just to sell and i have no desire to do that either.

    I thought they weren't going to send it out unless you have been with them for at least 90 days? Please correct me if am wrong...

    t-mobile will unlock the phone for free, 3 months after having it... 90 days.

    just remember only 1 unlock per 90 days so if the whole family wanted to go to europe and use temp sim cards you would be out of luck. I just unlock all of mine as I get them just because I paid for it I should be able to do what I want with it.

    Looks like they are going for a lil over 500 right now on E-Bay. I'd still keep the phone though.

    or if you have been with tmo for many years they will unlock it for you for free instantly. i did this with the blackberry curve last year. bought it, called a csr for an unlock code when i got home, and got an email with the unlock code that evening.

    well
    its 90 days after been with them so if the g1 isnt your first phone you should be good!
    nah i am not selling it lol
    i just wanted to have it unlock lol
    but ill use it when i go to europe
