Thumbs down Unlocked G1 has less functionality?

I have unlocked my phone and am in the UK. I have unlocked it from the usual t-mobile to o2 service. On my phone now I do not have MyFaves, voice search and less changes in the cupcake update than that which was explained on the internet, like some earth feature. Is there any way of getting these applications onto my phone?

    All help greatly appreciated.

Get the newest build for voice search. As for MyFaves... does O2 even have that?

My understanding is that only the US phone has the built-in myfaves. Originally, your phone was a UK, tmo?

Yeah, the UK version of Android is slightly different from the U.S..

Many things that are featured in the US, don't show up in the UK.

For ex, the voice search, my faves (O2 doesn't support it), IM clients, etc.

Flash JF ADP 1.5, however theres no My Faves, dont really see the need for it anyways never used it. Or you can just wait for JF or Haykuros RCxx (T-mos) 1.5

UK standard build (on Tmob) has no:

    My faves (whatever that is)
    Google latitude
    Voice Search
MSN, AIM, etc. Only Google talk
    Amazon shop
