Default Upgrading to MyTouch 3G from T-Mobile?

I wasn't exactly sure where to put this, so forgive me mods, and put this wherever it belongs if not here.

I was wondering if anybody had any idea whether G1 early adopters would have the ability to pay a subsidized price with a 2-year extension by pre-ordering the MyTouch. A couple of points before I get an answer or two that I fear I'll get:

    1) I extended my contract for 2 years last year when I pre-ordered the G1.

    2) I'm not making any statement that T-Mobile is somehow shafting us if we would NOT get a subsidized price. I'm merely curious on whether or not we would.

    Thanks all!

Mostly likey if your already a tmo customer for over a year or so you might be eligible for a small discount but that 2 year contract extension always stays. I got my g1 upon launch in october last year, that was a 2 year extension them 5 months later it got stolen i purschased anotehr phone from them not a g1, and that was another 2 year extension.

    thats pretty much correct...

its not ALWAYS a 2 year contract extension though... on a 24 month contract (2 years), you will qualify for another full discount at the 22nd month mark, which at this time you'll have the option to renew the contract either 1 OR 2 years... obviously if you're within the first year of your 2 year commitment, T-Mobile is not going to give you much of a discount let alone give you the option to do a one year contract renewal, because frankly that doesn't make much sense...

to the OP's question, you would qualify for a partial discount, which would more than likely make the MyTouch for you around 380+
