i have used grand central and youmail........hated them both, youmail especially. Visual voicemail for the iphone was quite impressive and hope this will be developed for the G1

I gave youmail a shot and so far it's just kind of eh', what do I say, so-so? It's fun to get a reaction out of people that you have set up individual greetings for, but other than that nothing earth shattering. I would really love to see a visual voicemail application created though. I would be very curious to see how a developer would get it done considering this lawsuit: http://www.networkworld.com/community/node/31747

I dont think visual voicemail would be supported with the G1 b/c it would require Tmobile to reconfigure their messaging system which would ultimately result in a suit.

Google owns GrandCentral. Does it not make sense that it might get integrated sometime later?? Hm.

Oh, i really hope they do something with grand central, that is a cool service. I signed up to reserve a number when they get back online. I like youmail because it sends me texts of who called and from where. I know my phone book can do that, but i still like it.
