voice dialing worked fine for me with my bluetooth car stereo and headset. try saying the names slower and pronunciate. that tends to work for me if the voice dialing gives me problems. hope that helps!
I'm messing around with the voice dialing and its not working very well over here.
My wife's name is Cheryl. I can see it having problems with that one due to spelling.
everytime i say "call cheryl" it gives me the option to go to voicemail. thats it.
So renamed her "cat" cuz that HAS to work right?
nope.
seems it cant even recognize "cat"
hmmm

no luck. Its worthless.
I figured perhaps it required the last name.. so i renamed her to "cat smith"
the damn thing cant even detect that correctly.
I tried it slow. i tried it fast. i tried it normal
it just cant figure it out.
this is using the regular handset.

maybe you should name her a letter like a or b. that might help.
tried that.
named her "C"
still didnt work.. try it![]()
Did not work for me either. I think we have the same problem I had in other, similar voice dial applications: it tries to use the whole list of contacts, and if that is long (as in my case) voice dialing will never work. It only worked in an old Motorola phone in which you explicitly selected which contacts you wanted Voice Dialing to consider: I selected only 3 and it worked perfectly.
The Voice Dialing app in Android should be modified to work in a similar way.
So far I have had no issues unless it was a 3 word name such as in a business entry and then it would choose things at random.
