    Default What battery problem?

I charged my G1 yesterday around 11:30pm. Woke up and took the charger out around 6:30am. Went to work, been surfing the net (including reading a lot of threads here) checking some videos, testing GPS, and is now 1:55pm. (Almost 7½ hours) and my battery is at 70%.

    So, what's the problem?

What is this battery problem people are talking about?

Mine is at 43%, it is 2pm and I have not even been using it non-stop. Surfing and texting mostly. Charged all night.

My theory: Apps stay open, thus consuming battery. This is why the browser is still set to the same page and anyPic remembers where you left off and pretty much any other app opens right away to the same screen.

Have you been laying with a lot of apps?

yeah the battery is pretty bad. but it charges rather fast too. not too many complaints.

    Are you using phone non-stop?

Because I've been leaving it idle from time to time when I have to do things here at work. But went back at it.

I took mine to work last night. Had 3g on the whole time. Was at 87% when I went to work. After work I watched you tube vids and did some wifi stuff. Everything was fine, batt was at 26% when I finally went to bed at 6 a.m.. It was off the charger for about 19 hours. I can live with that.

I have my brightness way down. Turning off GPS made a HUGE diffference

They could probably fix some of the battery problems with a firmware update, like automatically turning off the wifi and GPS when not using it.

Yea, Im at about 60% and I took it off the charger 3 hours ago more or less and Ive been using GPS on and off, done a few maps, texting like mad, emailing like mad, playing with the market and playing divide and conquer. Also have taken a picture or two. Its not the greatest battery ever but its not some horrid beast either.
