why doesnt email work through wifi?
Seems like the build in email program and k-9 mail will only check my yahoo mail while on 2g or 3g but not on wifi. Why is that?

Well, it says right at start up that it only works over the wireless network, not wifi, so this shouldn't be a surprise. As for the technical reason, sorry, I'm not sure about that.

Yeah, I understand the software doesn't do it but I was wondering what the reason is. Like is it a hardware issue, a software issue or a firmware issue?Originally Posted by kitsunisan

I don't see why it should be a hardware issue, because the Gmail app is able to get my mail just fine over WiFi.
